Home Automation Based on Arduino/WeMos/RPi Platform
Ježek, Jan ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This work aims to propose and implement a home automation system based on individual devices' connection using conditions and actions. For example, when a magnetic barrier determines that a door was opened, a command that turns on lights in the hallway is sent. However, if a card reader does not register allowed card, the alarm will be triggered. This problem is solved by a server running on Raspberry Pi, which is periodically checking all conditions that a user has defined via a web page. Based on their fulfillment, it executes predefined action. Created solution provides a way how to connect smart devices in household easily and how to automate them. Users must program each module, complex conditions, and actions by themselves. This work presents an infrastructure for communication and examples on how to create such modules.
IoT Control Module
Haman, Martin ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the research of the possibilities of wireless data transmission from the controllers IoT modules and their construction. At first there is compared wireless technologies, network protocols, their suitability depending on the application of the IoT control module. Then it is designed the IoT control module using a Wi-Fi module (based on Espressif ESP8266 integrated circuit) communicating over a MQTT network protocol. Thesis continue with selection, compilation of the firmware, creation of script for control heating system, descriptions of methods for controlling the IoT control module and display of measured data. The possibilities of creating a MQTT broker and security of data transmission are described below. In conclusion is documented and verified its functionality.
Demonstration robotic cell design and implementation
Korotynskiy, Alexander ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the design and implementation of control and visualization of a demonstration robotic cell for coffee brewing. During the work, suitable hardware resources were selected, and electrical wiring diagrams were designed. The main control application on the single-board computer Raspberry Pi is based on the .NET platform and the Avalonia cross-platform GUI framework. An intelligent beacon based on the ESP8266 NodeMCU V2 control unit was implemented to perform light indication of the coffee brewing process. The thesis is also devoted to the implementation of coffee machine status detection using the control board T-ETH-POE ESP32-WROOM.
Intelligent ventilation with remote control and supervision
Benda, Tomáš ; Ježek, Michal (referee) ; Staněk, Kamil (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is a design and physical realization of system for intelligent passive ventilation. The mechanical controller of ventilation is designed with 3D modelling software. The resulting model is then created by 3D printing technology. The controlling unit realizes the ventilation of the room according to a designed algorithm. This algorithm reacts to current values of temperature and relative humidity measured by indoor and outdoor sensor unit. The remote control and monitoring is provided by application for mobile phones with Android operating system. The application allows the user to set parameters for controlling the ventilation and informs about current values of temperature and relative humidity.
Automated Plant Growing
Švancer, Jan ; Široký, Adam (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
This thesis combines two current trends - the Internet of Things and Urban Agriculture. It describes technologies for wireless sensors communication in smart homes and hardware for their implementation. Based on these technologies smart hardware for automatic plants growing is implemented and connected to cloud with remote access via iOS mobile application.
Concept of smart home energy monitoring and management
Kolouch, Petr ; Wasserbauer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vrána, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with smart metering of home. The introduction of the thesis deals with the approach of this issue. It then explains the principle of smart socket operation and the possibility of linking smart sockets with renewable sources. In the next part of the thesis there is a thorough search of existing smart systems in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the practical part, 3 commercial smart sockets were measured and evaluated. The last part is the creation of the concept of smart socket-based on microchip ADE7753. Subsequently, the implementation of the measuring device is detaily described.
Internet of Things Device Based on Bluetooth and COAP
Fuchs, Ondřej ; Husák, Jiří (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with nowadays very mentioned concept of the Internet of things. The main objective is to define the Internet of things, describe the history of the formation, basic characteristics, development, security issues and the associated risks, trends and possible use. Then describe possible technology and data transfer protocols, manufacturers of device and then outline the future of the Internet of things. Thesis also includes the design, implementation and testing of device falling into the category of Internet of Things.
Heart rate measurement system with wireless data transmission
Valenta, Jakub ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Michalík, David (advisor)
The presented Bachelor's thesis covers the topics of designing and manufacturing a device used for measurement of a car driver's pulse frequency. An electrocardiogram is used to measure cardiac activity. The measured data is sent wirelessly to a local server where it's stored in a prepared database. Correct function of the device is demonstrated through an experiment performed in the second part of the work.

Intelligent Access Control System for Large Facilities
Truhlář, Jan ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
Aim of this work is to create autonomous embedded device which allows access control with radio frequency identification (RFID). Device is configurable by web interface and offers access history. Updates of RFID cards database are realised by mesh network. For realisation of this work is used developement kit based on Espressif Systems ESP8266 chip, which is programmed with open-source platform Arduino. Created device can be used in locations without direct network covrage.
